Happiness rate

It’s not possible to catch happiness with numbers, but it can be the starting point for a conversation about happiness. This is one of the reasons why I ask people if they can express their happiness level in a percentage.

Gretchen Rubin: “According to research, in the determination of a person’s level of happiness, genetics accounts for about 50 percent; life circumstances, such as age, gender, ethnicity, marital status, income, health, occupation, and religion affiliation, account for about 10 to 20 percent; and the remainder is a product of how a person thinks and acts.”┬╣ It is the thinking part that interests me the most. How do we think about happiness?

We share the same world and we share the same wish: being happy. Many great philosophers tried to tackle the essence of happiness and they defined it with many words. But what does happiness mean to you? To answer this question, self-reflection can be an important key towards a happier life. With this blog I offer you the opportunity to reflect with people from all over the world. People like yourself, who just want to achieve that one thing in life.

About

Thesameworld.org is a blog about our happiness. Here you read why people are happy or why they are not.

While travelling, I use happiness to meet people. I want to know if people all around the world are conscious of what happiness means for themselves. Are they trying to achieve happiness? Is achieving happiness even possible in their eyes? To focus on happiness, I try to move the personal circumstances as much as possible to the background.

This blog is not about finding one answer.

For me happiness means ‘a total satisfied state of mind in the present’. To me is happiness one of the most important aspects in my life to obtain.
